graphic design

“Design is the method of putting form and content together. Design, just as art, has multiple definitions; there is no single definition. Design can be art. Design can be aesthetics. Design is so simple, that's why it is so complicated.”

– Paul Rand

I, designer
I wasn't always a graphic designer. I didn't always know how to build a web site or even create a simple logo. For me, everything started when I was young and had nothing but a sketch pad and a pencil. As I matured I started painting and drawing more seriously and when it came time to choose a college or university and figure out what I'm going to spend the rest of my working life doing, the choice seemed obvious. Graphic design.

With a fine arts background and a curious interest in computers and technology, graphic design seemed like the perfect blend between two passions. So off I went to college in Toronto for three years of design training.

Over the years since my graduation I've had the chance to work with and learn from many great designers. I'd like to think that little bits of these people have rubbed off on me and played a role in defining my own style and thought process as a designer. Though I am currently working fulltime for a Toronto design studio, I do occaisionally take on interesting projects in my free time.
